So after being on a liquid diet for five weeks tomorrow I get the splint taken out and get to start eating solid foods again!!! I never thought I'd be so excited to eat. The five weeks felt like they were going by so slow, but now that it's almost over it seems to have flown by.
Most of the swelling has subsided. I'm still a little swollen in my chin and lower lip. All the feeling has come back in my cheeks which was a relief. My lips are still numb, especially my lower one, and my chin is very sensitive to touch. However, I'm extremely happy with the results and can't wait to see my new bite without the awful splint in my mouth!
